Hungry Lost Dog
At the Austin Animal Shelter, Monday April, 15, Charrin a Saint Bernard was slobbering because of the delicious looking hamburger right in front of him. Charrin is one of the lost dogs in the Shelter and if your interested in an amazing pet, call the Animal Shelter 484-2222

Simplicity- it has a simple background, doesnt distract away from the dog
Cropping- only a certain portion of the dog, not the whole dog

Make it better- change the setting, move him to the kennel, see more of the dog

Lenses and Photography Vocabulary

I would use a telephoto lens to take a picture of a little flower, so that I would just focus on that.

I would use a prime lens to if I were going to take a picture of a sunset because it's a low light and i wouldn't have to zoom

I would use a wide-angle lens to take a picture of a field of animals just so that i could fit everything in the picture.

Depth of Field (shallow and wide) is what's in focus
Light (angle and intensity) is how bright or how low light is
Shadows Diffusion, softening the light or absence of light
Exposure is how the picture looks like
Aperture (f-stop) is how big an opening is
Shutter speed how fast it opens and closes
ISO is how sensitive the sensor is to light

Most photographers try to avoid lens flare, it is light scattered within the lens. This usually ruins the photo but some photographers do it to add creativity 

Something that I learned was that a flare is good for a self portrait but when taking a picture for something that a lot of people are going to see, i think that its better to avoid the lens flare 

I chose this picture because it is my favorite because the picture is dark and the flare really stands out. The rule used in this picture is the rule of thirds. Erin Purcell took this photo.

I'm not sure what this website was telling us but i think that it means some of the simplest things that we see everyday, can be very beautiful to take pictures of. 

I couldn't get the picture that i wanted to put up but it was a picture of a tree behind a pond with a duck swimming across the pond and the sun was setting. i chose this picture because i just liked how the picture was set up and everything just looked so peaceful. the rule used was rule of thirds. this photo was taken by Kevin Day.

Pictures of storms are a very popular topic, but there are many prosedures that you have to follow to take a really good photo of a storm. 

 Something that i learned is that is that its better to stabilize your camera to take a good picture.
