Camera - New Vocabulary Words

  A camera is a device that records images that can be stored directly, transmitted to another location, or both. These images may be still photographs or moving images such as videos or movies.

 The visible spectrum is the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to (can be detected by) the human eye.
In optics, a diaphragm is a thin opaque structure with an opening (aperture) at its center and it stops the passage of light.
An image sensor is a device that converts an optical image into an electronic signal.
The movie camera is a type of photographic camera which takes a rapid sequence of photographs on strips of film which was very popular for private use in the last century until its successor, the video camera, replaced it

Aperture- A space through which light passes in an optical or photographic instrument
Shutter- Each of a pair of hinged panels fixed inside or outside a window that can be closed for security or privacy or to keep out light.
Exposure- The state of being exposed to contact with something.
Depth of field- Distance from the nearest to the farthest point of something or from the front to the back.
F-stop- the f-number (sometimes called focal ratio, f-ratio, f-stop, or relative aperture) of an optical system expresses the diameter of the entrance pupil in terms of the focal length of the lens
Focal length- The distance between the center of a lens or curved mirror and its focus.
