Photo Manipulation and Ethics

Photo manipulation is using photo shop to add or remove things in your photos. Photo shop can be extremely dangerous because in the past it has cost people their jobs and careers. You may use it in the right time and when needed. I think that this is acceptable because, say you were taking a picture and something got in the way so you could simply remove it with photo shop.

February 2003: Saddam Hussein and George W. Bush did not debate, but appeared to in this cover shot.

I think that this photo is unethical because this didn't even happen so its basically feeding the people lies. This is the kind of photo shop that they shouldn't do because its not true so they shouldn't make it seem that way.

February 1982: The pyramids were moved closer together to accommodate this vertical National Geographic cover.

I think that this is acceptable because they were just moving things closer to fit onto a magazine to put a better image. In this case its alright, it just depends in what they are changing or taking out of the picture.
